Window Tinting Film Installation in Bethesda, MD for Katz Properties – Washington DC Metro Area

IMG_0551Project:  Window Film Installation

Customer:  Katz Properties

Location:  Montgomery Ave, Bethesda MD.

In the Washington DC Metro area, located in Bethesda, sits this office building, seen in the image to the left. It’s an older building – one that was built in the mid-20th century – and features single pane annealed glass windows, mounted into steel frames.  This building has a southern facing side where tenants had been complaining about uncomfortable temperatures and glare. Even during the winter, the exposure to the sun was making the offices unbearable.

Throughout the day, during the hours the sun hits the offices, some tenants were forced to use the blinds to completely block out the sun and heat.  So Katz Properties, the company that represents and manages this commercial office building, brought us in to help fix the problem.

Client Spotlight: Katz & Co. Property Management is a leading provider of commercial retail and office spaces in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area since 1986.

BEFORE PICTURE

We installed Huper Optik’s Fusion 10 Dual Reflective window tinting film on all the windows that were southern facing.  This window film provides 88% glare reduction and 77% solar energy rejection.  It has a non-reflective interior, so tenants inside can see out, but it also has a slightly reflective exterior, which gives the building more of a modern look.  Not only does their window film provide comfort to the tenants, it also gives the building a bit of a facelift.

Now all the tenants in the building can enjoy year-round comfort without having to sacrifice the view, including those on the Southern facing side.

If you’re the owner or manager of an office building, or residential high-rise in the Washington DC Metro area, and you’re looking for more information about window tinting for your building, give us a call today at (540) 253-5402.  We’re a full service commercial and residential window tinting company serving the DC Metro Area and Northern Virginia.

Note: Window tinting, as opposed to blinds or drapes, can be a preferable solution that can raise the value of your property by enabling your tenants to enjoy their view 24/7.
