What Are You Supposed To Think About While Meditating?

There’s a common misunderstanding that meditation “turns your mind off.” This is not at all real, but when your mind goes red and you want to unwind, it can be deterrent. However, the reason for meditation is to make your thoughts more conscious so that you can monitor and concentrate them more effectively. Here, a trainer and certified meditational and breathing techniques teacher from Aaptiv, Ceasar F. Barajas, tells us what meditation really means.

What should I think while meditating?

The reason people consider meditation so hard is because they don’t think about it. But it is difficult to be totally clear of any feelings, as you have probably realized if you tried this yourself. The mind tends to go in different tasks, general concerns or just random directions depending on our environment, which we must carry out. “The trick is to be conscious of the thoughts and allow them to remain without intervention,” says Barajas. “There’s nothing you need to worry about. The thinking process is whatever you want it to be. “There’s no” can.

Tips to Find Your Meditative State

Meditation seems easy, but it is difficult to achieve this meditative state for some people. Because we live such a way on the go, stopping is more difficult than acting. Barajas has a big tip on how this state of perception can be reached during meditation. “Focus on the following breathing techniques (choose to do one or both). Next, inhale completely for 3-6 seconds. Pause for a moment and fully exhale for 3-6 seconds. Second, inhale three to six seconds, pause, double the time to exhale and repeat at six to twelve seconds. Only focus on breathing as you breathe in and out.

Offer the body the best possible relief and let the senses take note of what surrounds you. Sit everywhere between a few minutes and ten to start. When counting your breaths, you can focus on it while maintaining the state of consciousness. You can increase the number of minutes, as it is faster and as time allows. Hey, you may still feel in your mind drifting away. Unconsciously, you will start to work through your to – do list and decide what to do for dinner or the orders you will fulfill. Recognize these feelings once you become conscious that your mind has wandered away. Then switch your focus back to your respiration.

“Meditation is deliberate thinking in its simplest form,” remarks Barajas. “It takes all your emotions, and it becomes conscious of them, but does not erase them.” Above all, do not seek to complicate the meditation too much. Barajas says, “It doesn’t matter who you are or background— then you’re meditating if you can take a deep, conscious breath.”
