The featured snippets on Google are actually on the results of the search. What are they? It is a format that will have the best, most reliable, easy to digest search term information right on the Google page, right in the results. So you don’t have to click through, go through to that page from where it comes and actually go through all that stuff. Google extracts the information about the query from what Google feels are highly authoritative websites.
So how we can leverage this is actually pretty cool for local businesses. And instead of being the number one result, if you want to be on one page, Google will reward you a number of times. If you’ve done everything right with a featured snippet, and what’s going to do is give you two results on that page, one on Google, and make your list look different. And every time something looks different, it means more attention and more attention means more clicks, more clicks, more business. So that’s exactly what we’re all trying to do. The ultimate goal here is, basically, to get more eyeballs on your business and then grow it through the internet.
So if you type in, how to change your oil, you ‘re going to see a featured snippet coming up, and it’s going to say, it’s going to repeat that question. There are basically three kinds of results in these snippets. There is a paragraph, the result, the result of the list, and the result of the table. So each of them adds benefits. I personally like the results of the list, because it’s all bullet or bullet numb, like numbered ones, that they’re much more accessible. It’s all about keeping you up with Google. So it’s the rise of a no click search that’s what ‘s turned out to be in our industry. So Google giving tons of information, useful information means that people are not actually going to click on the website that your farm produces that information.
You also want to remember that there should be an image on your page for whatever page you ‘re doing in WordPress, it’s called a featured image. That image will be shown a lot of times in that snippet. So you want each page to have a unique image. So it’s not the same thing, and it’s definitely not your business logo, because Google won’t put that up there. That’s actually going to hurt your featured snippet. So stay away from your logo, get a great picture up there. And you’re going to be rewarded with featured snippets. And they’re pretty cool. So there’s, there’s, there’s, there’s no brainer trying to get some of them.
