Eco-Friendly Banners – Vancouver, WA

Posted in: Industry News

Looking for ways to make your event more sustainable?  Do you have ‘green’ goals you are trying to meet?  Don’t leave banners out of your eco-friendly plans.

Used banners can clog landfills and traditional banner material is not easily recycled.  But quality manufacturers are now making environmentally friendly banner materials that is made from recycled materials, recyclable itself, or in some cases  bio-degradable.

Recycled plastic banners are made from recycled plastic (PET) water and soda bottles.  Some banners are made from 100% PET while others use alternate products in addition to the recycled bottles ingredient.  Some manufacturers who make 100% recycled plastic banners also publicize programs to accept returns of their banners in order to use them again in the production of new banner material.

We recently found a new bio-degradable banner material – BIOflex – made by Ultraflex.  In landfill conditions, a banner made from BIOflex will break down in 3 to 5 years versus the 100’s of years it might take for a traditional banner to decompose.

When you match your eco-friendly banner with sustainable options like a bamboo banner stand  or recycled aluminum frames, your event or display can truly go green
