Introduction to Handguns

This first class is meant for the complete novice, those who have never touched a firearm before. Our instructors take you through the fundamental knowledge of handguns. Learning topics in this class include universal firearm safety, performing a safety check, loading and unloading a magazine, and loading and unloading a handgun.

The last hour of this 4-hour class puts your knowledge to the test in the range. By the end of this class, you will be able to safely shoot 50 rounds of ammunition.

Basic Handgun

The second class in the pistol series brings your novice level up to a beginner standard. Armed with your fundamental knowledge of handguns, this class begins to hone in on your shooting skills such as marksmanship and accuracy.

In this class, you will use both inert dummy rounds, our simulation chamber, and live-fire drills to develop accurate shooting. With an emphasis on proper stance, grip, and trigger usage by the end of this class you will be able to shoot a playing card in half.

Intermediate Handgun

The final class in our pistol training gives you the last of the fundamental necessities to shoot a handgun. After this class, you will be able to confidently continue your training in a more focused way for recreation, competition, or personal defense. Learning topics in this class include presentation, recoil management, advanced trigger control, and accurate follow-up shots.

Practical Pistol Series

Our practical pistol series is one of the most popular for the seasoned vets and novices at our range. This series is a significant step up from the basic pistol training bringing in outside equipment like holsters and situational training.

Throughout this series, you will learn how to effectively use a hoster for your firearm. Plus, situational training will teach you how to handle malfunctions under stress, shoot on the move, and effectively use your firearm in a defensive way.
