Chandler, AZ – Reviewing the LWRC 9MM M6 Auto Rifle | Gun / Shooting Range News

Posted in: Industry News

The Land Warfare Resources Corporation M6 Auto Rifle definitely has its pros and cons. They are recognized as an industry leader in short-stroke, piston-operated AR rifles and with a review of the M6 Auto Rifle that doesn’t come as a surprise. The M6 os the most basic model that LWRC offers of AR rifles, but that doesn’t necessarily come as a disadvantage when looking at it holistically.

The LWRC M6 is a completely ambidextrous model. This is extremely important when in the field. It has dual controls for the bolt catch/release, magazine release, and fire control/safety lever. This means that both right and left-handed shooters will be able to handle and control this gun with ease. It also means that should an injury in the field occur, shooters won’t have to worry about flubbing with the gun because they can just switch to their other hand’s controls.

The M6 from LWRC is the epitome of a well-balanced and fast-pointing tactical carbine. The Monoforge rail that they choose to use helps to accomplish this goal as well as the stock and MIAD pistol grip on the rifle. It’s got a smooth recoil which allows for faster follow up shots which is great both on and off the range.

The LWRC M6 uses a patented self-regulating, short-stroke gas-piston operating system. There are so many benefits to using this system as opposed to the traditional gas system. First, it ensures reliability in the harshest of climates by eliminating the hot, carbon-laden gasses that can be vented throughout the rifle and into the receiver and bolt carrier group. This also means that it reduces the amount of cleaning needed and the number of small parts failure because they remain cleaner and more manageable with the patented shooting system.

The M6 has iron sights that can serve as standalone battle sights or can be folded down to act as a backup if optics are mounted. The rifle is fairly customizable with a rail and foldable sights. If you choose to invest in a LWRC M6 it is also definitely worth looking into some of the other accessories and upgrades that are on the market right now. The standard factory line rifle may not be able to give you everything you want depending on your goals and needs from the firearm.

The operating system of the M6 also helps to ensure a long lifespan because of the lack of cleaning needed. It is extremely durable in most conditions you put it through and will continue to run just as you expect with the ammo you put it through. It could be a family rifle that you pass down to the kids or grandkids with it’s longevity.

On the range it’s a fairly accurate rifle. At 100 yards groupings were shot at about 1.5 inches which is standard for many AR rifles on the market. And with a 16.1-inch barrel, this rifle could definitely be worth looking into as a viable purchase for any shooter interested.
