Thinking of Purchasing a Brand-New Sig 9mm MPX Submachine Gun?

First, read this review by the experts at C2 Tactical!

If you’re a fan of the AR-15 rifle, you’ll feel right at home with its compact cousin, the Sig MPX submachine gun, which has comparable controls and sophisticated features. We highly recommend the Sig 9mm MPX for anyone ready to try out tactical-style firearms at the gun range. A staple of high-intensity action flicks, the Sig MPX performs as well as it looks. Let’s dive deeper into the specifications to see what makes SIG MPX so amazing!

Pistol Grip

Like the AR-15, SIG MPX features the same pistol grip angle used in the M16A2. However, in our opinion, the SIG MPX would benefit from a steeper angle. Still, the grip is comfortable and easy to handle during a session at a gun range.

Safety Factor

SIG 9mm MPX has an ambidextrous safety feature, and the right-side lever is shorter to prevent knuckle rubbing. When you’re toggling the safety on and off repeatedly during practice, you’ll find it’s easier to use this submachine gun without hurting your knuckles. You can also use your trigger finger to toggle the safety because the lever is long enough for that.

Mag Release

The mag release of SIG MPX is on the right side of the weapon, which is also a standard feature of the AR-15. But the left side is different. It is ambidextrous and positioned to accommodate left-handed users. You will find it easier to use the mag release of this submachine gun with various configurations.

Bolt Release/Hold-Open

The bolt release of SIG MPX is complicated. The left side has a ping-pong release, while the right features an ambidextrous release. The left side has a level extending to the bottom of the release to make it easier to lock the bolt again. The right side, however, does not work as a bolt hold-open.

Handguard

The handguard of the SIG MPX depends on the variant you choose. If you choose an 8-inch barrel, you’ll find that the handguard is quite long, but the Copperhead variant has a shorter handguard. There are other variants as well. When you meet with an expert at C2 Tactical’s facility, they can advise you on the variant that best fits you.

Trigger

The MPX trigger is similar to that of the AR-15, and it meets standard military specifications covering everything from dimensions to testing. It might feel slightly lighter than the AR-15’s trigger, but otherwise, it’s more or less the same.
