Signage Tip – Vehicle wrap tips

Posted in: Industry News

There are as many ways to apply finishing techniques to graphics, but the job is like art – every one will be unique.  The foundation of a good wrap is create expecations with the customer that you can live with. Many times the vehicle has it’s own blemishes to work around and may show as a flaw in the final product.  Also, like most signs – they are meant to be viewed from a distance.  Also, some vehicle decor may need to be removed during the install and many times a customer may choose to leave some non-essential elements off the vehicle.  The design is probably best as solid background color and seams are always present.  We design text and main copy to be away from areas broken with seals and hardware.  Proper preparation of the vehicle is important and not to be skipped.   A thorough cleaning with isopropyl alchohol is important.  Printed graphics with a complimentary lamination material is very important.
