Monument Sign in Clearwater, FL for the Chapel by the Sea

We were asked to help with a monument sign makeover in Clearwater, FL. The sign was tired and showing it’s age.  The monument sign was very plain and the reader board track system broken in places.   Here’s a before picture………………………………..>

We started with a design of header sign to replace the address number on the top of the sign. They would have someone paint and re stucco the monument sign to give a fresh appearance.

The header sign was designed to give some dimension and create the logo elements in a manner that would stand out.  We decided to use a sandblasted sign from HDU sign foam to create the main sign piece. The after photo is shown:

The reader board section needed replacement to give it a fresh background of white acrylic and reader board track. In addition, some vinyl text was added top and bottom to get a message about contacting the church.  The reader board track was configured to allow the church to reuse the letters they already owned.

The steps for placing the reader board track takes precision and the proper materials.  The reader board track is acrylic and comes in eight foot lengths. The track needs to be cut to the proper width. In addition, the track comes with a bottom section, middle sections and a top section the the reader board letters fit property and can be easily changed.  It is best to use the same acrylic sign materials so the track bonds to the acrylic background. If temperature change happens the acrylic all expands or contracts at the same rate.  This offers a secure placement with the proper cement.

The sandblasted sign was painted two colors of the customer choice. The sandblasted foam sign will offer many years of use and can be touched up over time with paint to keep it fresh looking.
