Springfield, MO – Full ADA Sign Package Provided for Fremont Elementary School

A school is a great place to utilize a complete sign package. With so many people attending the location on any given day, signs can aid in the efficiency in movement and knowledge. In addition, they can motivate students and staff alike through learning and school spirit imagery. Certain signs will assist in the delivery of this information, to both visitor and as those in the area. Recently, we were contacted  to  provide a sign package for the Fremont Elementary School that would bring them the results they were looking for. We were thrilled to get started!

About the Project

The school needed a welcoming lobby sign that would give a proud visual representation of the school name. With a recent expansion of the school, they also needed new way-finding signs ADA compliant signs. This is definitely something that our team could handle, and we got right to work!

The custom designed ADA signs were legible, and drew attention for quick recognition of exactly what they are. Each independent classroom ADA sign even has independent slots for teacher names, so that they can be moved as the years progress. The signs met all the ADA standards, and achieved their sign goals!

About ADA Signs & Their Requirements

Some of the basic requirements to keep the standards required by the ADA are as follows:

• Signage in all permanent rooms and space within facility
• Navigation signs and information signs throughout the establishment
• Safety signage must be raised, and feature grade 2 braille
• Stairwell signs must be placed by doors within stairwells, and should feature floor level, level of exit, and roof exit
• Some municipalities require illumination on ADA compliant signs
