Tear Drop Flag/Banner – St. Louis County MO / St.Charles County MO – Elementary School

Topaz SIGNworks – One of the Premier Elementary Schools in St. Louis County was a participant in an event called Read, Right, Run Event held in Forest Park annually involving area wide Elementary Schools.  Students participate throughout the School Year to read books, to perform good deeds and to run distances.  The purpose is to develop healthy habits and good character.  The event organizers decided that a Tear-Drop Flag/Banner will promote school spirit and would be a good school identifier at the year-end event.

The event attracts Elementary Schools for all over the area and has quite an attendance of both students, staff and spectators.  This large attendance requires that students are in the right place at the right times, not only for participation but also for safety and accountability reasons.

Due to the large attendance, a simple locator sign would not accomplish the goal.  The sign must be tall, colorful and descriptive in addition to having the ability to place the sign where it is needed at specific times during the event.  A Tear-Drop Flag/Banner was the perfect solution.

Topaz SIGNworks custom designed the Tear-Drop Flag/Banner to be colorful, to be descriptive and have the Elementary School Mascot as a Focal Point that all the students that attend the Elementary School would easily recognize.

Topaz SIGNworks designed and utilized custom banner material that has block-out material between the two faces of the Tear-Drop Flag/Banner so when looking at one side of the double-sided banner one would not see the other side of the banner which would distort the images and message.  The less expensive Tear-Drop Flag/Banners stands use aluminum rods that will bend and potentially break.  Topaz SIGNworks utilizes a high quality Tear-Drop Flag/Banner stand that uses the same material that fishing rods are made of, as they will allow them to bend without breaking.

The annual Read, Right, Run Event was a success and the students easily found their location without any student being lost.

The additional value of the Tear-Drop Flag/Banner is it portable and can be used again and again at a variety of events or just as a marker to gain attention.
