San Leandro, CA – Skate Industry News: During These Trying Times Skateboarding is More Important Than Ever For Our Society

Posted in: Client Examples

We’ve been lockdown for a couple months now and tensions could not be higher. They have closed our favorite places, stopped us from working and to put the government issued cherry on top they poured sand into our skateparks. Well it is obvious society will not stand for it anymore. We need something!

Times like these I think people could take a page from the skateboarders bible. Go Skate! Skateboarding teaches us to suffer the consequences of actions and helps us learn the persistence to keep trying until we get it right. It teaches us dedication and tenacity to try until we just can’t anymore. This is an amazing life virtues to have, and to possess throughout your life and career. Skateboarding also prepares you mentally to suffer through the pain of learning and the pain of being injured, and the reward of it all.

Skateboarders are many things. One of those things is loyal. Loyal to skateboarding, loyal to their local, loyal to a brand and most of all loyal to their crew.

Skateboarding requires you to be creative with what you have, use spots that you have in your town, or even build a DYI. Skateboarding is connected to various mediums, video and photography being the primary one. However, if you would ask around, every skateboarder has some side project, and most likely, it will be connected with art, be it music, painting, and so on. Creativity breeds creativity.

In my opinion, skateboarding could save the world… but for now just do your part and go get a session together!!
