San Leandro, CA Oakland, CA Three Insurance Claims That Ended Well For Victims

Posted in: Industry News

Most of the time, people complain about insurance because of the cost or coverage that did not meet expectations.  Here are three examples that worked out well in three separate cases.

The first case happened more than one year ago. While sleeping peacefully, one of our policyholder clients had someone lose control of their car and crash into her living room!   Thankfully nobody was hurt including the driver of the car!  There was a lot of damage however, and unfortunately the driver did not have enough insurance to repair the home.  Luckily for our client, her homeowners insurance carrier stepped in and started helped get the home repaired quickly and reimbursed her for damaged items including a pool table!  While the event itself was very traumatic, the outcome was good because her insurance policy stepped up!

The next case is not so dramatic but also involved a vehicle out of control and crashing into our own front yard here at the office.  Again, nobody was hurt but there was a fallen tree and ruined landscape lighting and electrical equipment.  In this case, the driver had a good insurance policy and the insurance company promptly paid to repair the lighting and equipment, clean up, and plant another tree.  All of us here at the office were happy with the outcome!

Yesterday, one of our commercial clients called and he has a storage container on the property which contains finished goods and parts for customers.  Somehow a driver lost control on the main boulevard and slammed into the container.  Again, nobody was hurt thankfully, but the container cannot be opened at this point and we do not yet know what damage occurred to the goods inside.  Not to worry said the insurance company and they authorized that our client could have the container doors cut off and the goods inspected.  Another good outcome because our client’s customer is expecting these parts soon.

Next time you want to complain about insurance, think about the losses that you would incur if you did not have your insurance policy.
