Chiropractic Tips & Advice: Children’s Poor posture and Back issues

Posted in: Industry News

Now that school has started, children to teenagers, even college students can start the year right by getting their backs checked.  It is most common today, to see children carrying heavy loads of back packs more than their backs can handle, incorrect sitting positions, slouching behind the computer, play stations,  and at the dinner table, has lead to poor posture and back issues at a younger age. In addition, cell phones, and any hand held technology.

A child’s spine is the most neglected part of their health care profile according to many health authorities. Children often need chiropractic care more than adults as they have frequent falls and injuries.  Many spinal problems can only be corrected at a young age and many more can be prevented.  Remember pain is NOT always an indication of spinal condition.  Scoliosis most common with females ages 8 to 18 may be corrected before becoming permanent at adult age.

Just as parents take their children  to a pediatrician and dentist, regular spinal check-ups are equally recommended. So please take advantage of this opportunity and make sure your child has not inherited any of your spinal problems, or if they have, have it detected and corrected early.

Health For Life Chiropractic clinic has a policy children (under 18 years of age) are entitled to a FREE exam. Please call at 510-357-1351 and make an appointment for your child, at no cost.  Adults receive a Complimentary Health Consultation, wellness screening, and  stress reduction massage ($150 Value)
