Washington DC, Carved Sign HDU Ebenezers Coffeehouse

Ebenezers Coffeehouse wanted us to re-do their signage outside their building using carving HDU from their black not so showy sign to a nice gold carved in lettering; really pops from the street. Ebenezer was not happy with existing signage.  They had black dimensional letters that had poor contrast against the building making it hard to see with mounted  silver rails.  They were specifically looking for signage that was more in line with the architectural style of the building . We suggested a carved sign with black accent and gold lettering,  it was was exactly what they were looking for. Below we have a before and after picture.

A B O U T  H D U

HDU stand for high density urethane which is a foam that is strong and waterproof, its used for dimensional signage at a lower price. HDU signs generally have a carved look to them allowing smooth or textured backgrounds as well as different thicknesses. HDU signage will not warp, crack or bow like a solid piece of wood. HDU is one way to save money due to when being in the factory it is easier to carve down than wood. Styles include from being rustic to nice and modern. HDU also lasts longer than wood so does not need to be replaced as often.

Ebenezers Coffeehouse  All of their coffee is fairly traded and they have many organic and shade grown options. They are owned and operated by National Community Church and all profits go towards their community outreach projects, locally and internationally.
