Rosenberg, TX – Advertising options with banners for Legacy Ford

When Legacy Ford of Rosenberg reached out to us with their latest truck promotion idea, we were excited to get the project going. With Legacy Ford’s excellent reputation for quality & customer service, they are THE premier dealer in the West Houston area. Their highly visible location at 27225 Southwest Freeway in  Rosenberg yields the perfect place to showcase a huge banner but this prime corridor also brings with it gusty winds. We assured them that we would create an eye catching design that also could withstand the winds.

Let’s tackle each challenge one at a time.

DESIGN: They needed a clear and concise message that was easily read and highly visible from a distance. We chose to incorporate the dealerships branding colors, a bold heavy font and include only the vital information for the message.

MATERIALS: We needed a banner material that could withstand high winds and gusts as the installation location was right along the freeway. We chose a mesh scrim that allowed about 25% airflow and was specifically designed for high wind areas. We also decided to add strategically cut half moon slits in the fabric mesh for added insurance on those crazy wind gusts. Relief cuts are very common in mesh banners that need to allow extra airflow to pass through.

PRODUCTION: Since this was a large format banner, we sent the design file to one of our strategic partners that have the capability to print huge formats. We believe that partnering with other companies, local and countrywide, allows us to leverage our service and offer the capabilities to provide any sign our clients may need.

INSTALLATION: The usability of the previous setup had run its course and we needed to brainstorm a new option to hold the banner at hand and future banners. After surveying the site, we decided on eye bolts and heavy gauge wire that would allow the banner to stretch between two existing metal posts. We allowed for the grommet holes to be about 24’ apart around the entire perimeter. We added specialty clips to pass through the grommets and attach directly to the wires on the top and bottom. For the sides, we chose flexible tension straps that could be tightened and keep the banner taut. The extra time and effort put into this setup was beneficial as now they had a viable option for all future banners. Well worth the initial investment!

Most clients will come to us with a sign request thinking of it as a marker for their business, service or promotion. We like to dig a little deeper with our free strategy sessions to find out how we can increase the potential of the sign to make our clients more money or bring in more customers.
