Our client wanted some racing stripes to enhance his gorgeous cherry red Dodge Charger. We offered two options based on longevity and price. Both were 3M products. 3M VC19161  was an economical option. This 3 mil calendered vinyl is a great alternative to cast color change wrap vinyls. The vinyl is removable, re-positionable with pressure-activated adhesive and non-visible air release channels. It is limited though to matte and gloss black only. It has an expected outdoor performance of around 5 years, which is around 2-1/2-3 years in the Houston weather with no warranty. 3M 2080 is a 3.5 Mil Cast Wrap Film with Long-term removable, re-positionable, pressure activated adhesive with non-visible air release channels. This film is brand new and replaces the 1080 with a new feature. It contains a protective film layer on gloss colors which stays on during installation. This reduces errors during installation and is easily removable after the vinyl is completed. It has a unique, conformable film layer to provide a better fit around curves and in channels for sleek appearance and easier install. It has an 8 year expected outdoor performance, 7 year vertical and 2 year horizontal warranty period, which is about 4 years for our area. It also has more than 70 color choices and 12 of them are black! Being a new product release, this was a more costly option. Our client chose the more economical version and we were off and running!

Adding racing stripes isnt the toughest install but ensuring everything lines up from the front to the back of the car is imperative. Our installers are meticulous.
