Fulshear, TX – Branded Wayfinding Signs for Local Bank | Front Row Signs News

Posted in: Client Examples

Ever have trouble finding your way around a business center location? Office centers, hospitals, schools, & banks can be quite confusing as well. Each building may look exactly alike. Here is where a good wayfinding or directional sign system can make easy work navigating around the parking lot. These types of signs are very prevalent and necessary for helping patients, clients and potential customers find their way around. Take a look at how we helped a bank location in Fulshear, TX with their wayfinding signs.

We were approached by a sign company out of Alabama to install signs for their corporate client, Bancorp South. They worked with this company for 30 years providing fabrication of their signs. They would outsource the installations all over the country to sign companies that met their criteria. We were proudly chosen and were ready to help coordinate the project for a smooth and timely install.

For the non illuminated wayfinding portion of the installation, there were 5 signs in total. Each sign included:

  • 3′ long painted Bancorp Green 2″ thick .080 aluminum square tubing for the posts
  • 3M Black and Dark Emerald Green cut vinyl
  • 3M white cut vinyl for the directional copy
  • Each sign was double sided
  • Each sign was approximately 3.75 sq. ft.

Permitting was not needed for these directional signs so we were able to schedule the installation as soon as the signs were received. Based on the site plan, we marked the area with white spray paint so that our installers knew exactly where to install the signs. We also printed copies for each installer of the site plan showing each signs’ location. Having 2 installers for this job was imperative to high quality control. One person could easily do it as the signs were small enough for one person to handle, but it left room for mistakes to go unnoticed.

To install, we checked the marked sites and placed the correct sign at the correct install site to begin. That way we didnt have to continuously re-think if each sign was in the correct location. Next, we dug 2 holes per sign to set the posts. The hole depth was 1’6″ x 1′ and we repeated this with all 5 signs. Once the sign was set within the holes, we used fast setting concrete and water mix. Making sure the sign was level, we held the sign in place for a minute or two. We replaced a little of the dirt or bark bedding we removed level with the ground at the hole site.

Before leaving, the installers went once more around to do a final quality control check, ensure each sign was level, the directional copy was facing the correct way, and the site was cleaned of all debris and dirt. Not a difficult job, but with all the little details present, there was much that could go wrong. Taking the time to plan ahead, have the correct paperwork, and the right tools to execute the job correctly is part of our core mission. We look forward to hearing how we may help you with your next sign project. Give us a call today! 832-222-9385
