POPULAR DESTINATIONS WE SERVE:

One of the most wonderful things about living in the pacific northwest is how many beautiful locations there are so close by. Mountains, rivers, lakes, beaches.. all within a two hour drive. Below I’ve outlined the locations I end up visiting the most for weddings. There are so many venues to choose from, I hope this will help you on your search for the perfect destination!

MOUNT HOOD / HOOD RIVER WEDDINGS

There are many beautiful venues with epic views of Mt. Hood. Mount Hood Organic Farms, Gorge Crest Vineyards, and The Inn at Avonlea to name a few. The photo on the right was actually taken at a private vacation rental in the area! The possibilities are plenty. On a clear day, having this iconic pacific northwest landmark in the background of your wedding photos is a pretty special thing. Travel within two hours of Portland is included in all of my packages and most of the mountain venues are within this range.

SUMMER CAMP / RIVER & LAKE WEDDINGS

Camp weddings have to be my all time favorite! I have the fondest memories of attending camp as a kid and there is such a warm and romantic nostalgia that permeates the air of a good camp wedding. Nearby venues in Oregon include Camp Namanu, Camp Angelos, Suttle Lodge, Silver Creek Falls, Loloma Lodge, and Camp Lane. Even if it isn’t in Oregon, I am happy to travel for your camp wedding wherever it may be. One of the most special weddings I ever had the pleasure of photographing was at Camp Common Ground all the way out in Starksboro Vermont! Being an avid Wes Anderson fan, I always make sure to watch Moonrise Kingdom the night before the wedding for inspiration.

CITY/ URBAN WEDDINGS

My base location of Portland Oregon is a beautiful metropolis. The city skyline and urban landscape are colorful, architectural and inspiring. Some of my favorite venues to shoot at in the city include Jupiter NEXT, The Doug Fir, Ecotrust, The Leftbank Annex, and Castaway. If you want to mix the urban environment with nature and greenery, Blockhouse (located within Pomarious Nursery and adjacent to Castaway) is a wonderful choice.

WINE COUNTRY WEDDINGS

The Willamette valley is Oregon’s wine country and the largest wine region in the state. A large concentration of wineries are located in the northern portion of the area, stretching more than 100 miles from Portland to Eugene. The “V” shaped Valley is surrounded by the Columbia River to the north, the Calapooya Mountains to the south, the Cascade Mountain foothills to the east and of course, the Oregon Coast to the west. The entire vast area is gorgeous, and Vineyards are the perfect relaxed setting for an elegant wedding. Maysara, Zenith Vineyard and Youngberg Hill are just a few lovely Oregon choices. If you’re getting married in California, there are many stunning choices in Napa and Santa Rosa.

OREGON COAST WEDDINGS

The wild beauty of the Oregon coast is really something to behold. The wind, waves, rocks & trees all seem to dance in harmony no matter what the weather. From private elopements in Manzanita to large resort beach weddings, the coastal shore is a wonderful destination choice for your wedding. Cannon Beach, Seaside, Manzanita, and Pacific City (which is home to Cape Kiwanda) are all within a 2.5 hour drive from Portland.
