Plymouth, MN – Business Coach Shares Septic Company Client Success Story

Posted in: Videos

As a business and executive coach using world-renowned business growth knowledge and strategies to assist my clients, I recognize the importance of following guidelines. I became a coach to help my clients achieve their authentic vision of success and growth using what I have learned throughout my 20 years of business experience.

Combining this with my experience working with Fortune 200 corporations, entrepreneurial startups, and locally-owned businesses, I am usually adamant about using the experiences and results from those jobs to guide future clients.

But business is unpredictable – sometimes relying on tried-and-true practices isn’t enough: there is untapped potential in breaking the monotony and using creative solutions to challenges.

A New Way to Engage Clients

I encountered the challenge of maintaining contact and engagement with a long-standing client – an owner of a septic company. We planned to keep up communication to strategize scaling his company when he had more free time. However, after sending several emails and texts, I stopped receiving any response.

My attempts at re-engaging my client ranged from long emails with industry ideas to short and cordial text messages, but none resulted in a reply. After meeting with other coaches and sharing similar experiences of receiving few email responses from prospective clients, we realized we needed a breakthrough – a new way to encourage engagement.

I distanced myself from my usual writing style, and admittedly, I took a risk: “Everybody poops,” I wrote in the email’s subject line. This risk resulted in a breakthrough – my client responded and booked a consultation!

Enduring Unpredictability With Unconventionality

As coaches, we are just as affected by the constant shifts in business that require us to find solutions to overcome them. We are well-versed in business practices and strategies and have proven to be successful in helping entrepreneurs grow their companies nationally and internationally, yet we still experience the unpredictability of client engagement, demand, and interest.

In my meeting with other business coaches, we achieved clarity in our approach: we needed a breakthrough in communication to improve engagement. Then, I turned to creativity and focused on presenting myself to my client in a new and unique way to regain their interest.

I teach business owners about the importance of adaptability to withstand the constant changes in the market and their customer base: staying open to new business practices, services, products, and ways of networking is the key to business longevity. Taking risks is a natural part of being an entrepreneur – embracing new ways of engaging your clients and presenting your business may result in an unexpected win!

If you’re an entrepreneur wondering how you can break out of the monotony of your current business practices to foster more engagement, book a consultation with me.
