Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE) Hires Insignia Designs to Build 30 Outdoor Garden Signs – Pleasanton, CA

In the image above you can see an example of 1 of 30 different signs we recently made for the Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE), located in Hayward, CA.

The Alameda County Office of Education “promotes student achievement and development through leadership, innovation, and accountability in partnership with the public, educational community, and parents.  The ACOE serves as liaison between the California Department of Education and the eighteen Alameda County public school districts.”

The idea behind the 30 outdoor garden signs was to solicit parents and students to participate and help promote, advertise and support project EAT (Education, Act, Thrive).  Project EAT is a program sponsored by the Alameda County Office of Education that is designed to teach kids about healthy eating and how to grow healthy food.  The EAT program features a small garden at each of over 30 local schools in Alameda County and across the East Bay Area where kids can learn about eating and growing health foods.

It’s been difficult to raise funding for EAT in recent years and the program had been slated to end at one point.  For this reason it’s very important to raise awareness, support and donations in order to keep the program going.  So to help promote EAT we were brought in to design and create eye-catching signs that will get the message out.  In the image above you can see we designed a fun, kid and parent friendly sign.  The signs measure 3’ x 5’  and were easily posted onto posts or in some cases attached to fences.

If you have children or live in the Alameda County area and want to find out how you can help support EAT contact the Alameda County Office of Education today.
