History of the iMac Computer
The iMac all-in-one computer was introduced to the creative and consumer computing markets in its classic Mac OS 8.1 in the 1990s. The computer’s housing, in classic Apple out-of-the box thinking, was translucent and often came in a multitude of bright color options like red, orange, blue, etc. The computer model was also referred to as eMac, but this was eventually dropped to the iMac label.
