Glendale, AZ – Our Family & Youth Gun Training Classes at C2 Tactical Gun Range

One of the greatest things to do as a family is share your passions with your kids. But when it comes to things that are geared more towards adults, like handling firearms, this can be difficult. That’s why we have made it easier than ever for you to bring your whole family and start learning to shoot with your kids at our gun range!

Our family & youth gun training classes are catered for families to do together. Kids will get to learn from a professional how to handle and care for a gun, and parents will understand how to make range time fun and safe for their kids. Each student, parents and kids, will get to practice these new skills in real-time on the range under professional supervision.

There are three main classes in our family & youth series and we encourage you and your family to take all three! Each one builds on the basic skills of handling a firearm and can enhance the safety capabilities of each student.

Family Firearm Safety

The first class in our youth & family series starts with the absolute basics. In the classroom kids will learn the fundamentals of handling and being around a firearm. This class very closely parallels our introduction to pistols class for the adults, but is specifically designed for a child’s learning methods.

Topics that are covered in this class include how to safely store a firearm, how to safely handle a firearm, how to navigate finding a firearm in someone else’s home, and discussing your family’s individual needs regarding firearm safety.

Youth Introduction to Firearms

Our second class takes everything you’ve learned in the basics course and puts it to use on the range. Kids ages 6+ will get to do live-fire drills with the skills they acquired in our basics class as well as new skills learned about shooting a .22 rifle. This class was specifically designed with kids who have zero shooting experience, but have a parent with the knowledge of firearms.

However this class is still open to everyone no matter the shooting experience. The only requirement is completion of the basics class and it must be taken as a family unit. If you have never touched a firearm before, have no fear! In this class parents are continued to be coached on the best ways to make the most of family range time while keeping their kid safe.

Refuse to be a Victim

Our final class in this series is specifically catered to the students that attend it. Learning how to refuse to be a victim will give your kids and you the necessary mental strength and knowledge to defend yourself and prevent yourself from getting into a harmful situation. Some skills learned in this class include cyber safety, carjack avoidance, corrective preparedness measures, and more. After this class kids and parents alike will know how to prevent themselves from becoming a victim and needing to use combative self-defense.
