Who We Are

Richard S. Burns was founded in 1960 as a one-person operation and has now grown to a 13-acre recovery compound with the capacity to handle more than 1,500 tons of waste and m other materials each day. One of our primary offerings is a ceiling tile recycling program.

What is a Ceiling Tile Recycling Program

A ceiling tile recycling program is a method of repurposing old materials into new products. This can include ceiling tiles, but it’s also possible to recycle other building materials like floor tiles, bricks, and even concrete.

This kind of recycling program can be beneficial if you’re trying to reduce your carbon footprint and reduce waste going into landfills. Because it uses existing materials that would otherwise be thrown away, recycling is also much cheaper than producing new items from scratch.

A ceiling tile recycling program will typically work by collecting old tiles from homeowners and businesses interested in participating in the program. Once these tiles are collected, they are taken back to a warehouse, where they are cleaned up and prepared for reuse by being broken down into smaller pieces to be combined with other recycled materials—like cement or sand—to make new tiles. We will then use these new tiles to cover ceilings all over again!

Recently we’ve partnered with Armstong World Industries to create our ceiling tile recycling program. To take advantage of this program, you can either call Armstrong World direct at 1-877-276-7876 to find out more about the program. You should download the program guide from our website.
