Channel Lettering and Monument Sign Inserts for PawsAbilities/Inclusion Connection

Posted in: Recent Projects

At Forerunner Signs & Graphics, we pride ourselves not only on the high-quality products we design, build and install, but in giving back to our community.  We do this through our Hope Starts at Home program.

When Debbie from Paws Abilities/Inclusion Connection contacted us, we found out she was referred to us through this program.  She was in need of exterior signage and monument sign inserts for her non-profit.  We were honored to help her and her organization that serves teens and young adults with disabilities by creating inclusive opportunities for community involvement, access to meaningful employment, and better options for independent living.

We started with the site survey and began the design process.  The logo was provided to us, so we used it to design the channel lettering.  For the exterior storefront signage, permitting was required.  After acquiring the necessary permits, we got to work on the internally illuminated channel letters & channel logo.

For the front-lit letters, we applied 3M’s transparent vinyl to front of Acrylic Faces:   3M 3630-128 Plum Purple and 3M 3630-127 Intense Blue.  We installed using individual mount process – drilling holes by the designed pattern to receive stud placement.

Next up?  Since PawsAbilities is part of the larger Inclusion Connections, they wanted to highlight both on the property’s monument signs.

For the double-sided Inclusion Connection sign, we used Brightline Translucent Vinyl, printed on Hp Latex 360 then married with 3M’s 8509 Luster Overlaminate, We used our Graphtec 8600 to cut the translucent vinyl graphics, then applied the  graphics to new acrylic pieces.

For the PawsAbilities double sided-monument sign inserts, we used 3M 50 Series Matte Black Calendered Vinyl to cut graphics, again using our Graphtec 8600 then applied the vinyl graphics to new acrylic inserts.

Our Hope Starts At Home Program is about building partnerships and relationships that enable companies, individuals and Forerunner to produce a win/win situation for our community and those in need.  We are committed to donating 10 percent of our proceeds on behalf of our partners (any partner who purchases $2,000 or more in signs in any given quarter) to non-profit organizations of their choice – or ones that Forerunner has chosen to support.

For partners not purchasing $2,000 or more in signs in a given quarter, Forerunner Signs & Graphics will still donate 10 percent of our proceeds to an organization from our list of non-profits.

We were honored to work with a benefactor of our Home Starts At Home Program.  We’re glad they were happy with our work!

From the customer:  “I just wanted to follow up with you to say GREAT job on the sign.  We are very happy and have received lots of compliments.  Thanks so much for everything!”
