Exterior Non-Illuminated Reverse Channel Letters & Aluminum Welded Frame Canopy

Grace Fellowship Church contacted us to design and build their exterior sign that would command the attention of passersby and first-time guests to the church.  In addition, they wanted a canopy to protect the west entrance to their on-campus Grace Garden Preschool.

Grace Fellowship is a “biblically-centered church family co-laboring with Christ, will intentionally cultivate relationships to evangelize and disciple our world for God’s glory. Jesus told His disciples that He sends them just as He was sent. So, Grace is on a mission, His mission to reconcile people, and all Creation, to Himself.”

The exterior sign is non-illuminated reverse channel letters.  We custom painted this logo to match Grace Fellowship Church’s branding standards using Mathews Paint. Installed on the south elevation into brick, we chose the position on the wall – high & left – in order to maximize visibility from the road and nearby intersection. We were also limited on size due to a special section of zoning that we ran into while pulling the Sign Permit for this project, thus having to reduce the size of the sign square-footage by 50%. This presented the challenge of finding the optimal positioning for visible “hits”, but as you can see we were wonderfully successful!

The canopy is a peak style welded frame awning manufactured with aluminum tubing and covered with Slate Sunbrella fabric. The canopy serves a dual purpose – one, weather and sun protection for parents and their “little ones” and two, adds an element of architectural class to the building shape. Class and function, a great combination.

The canopy gave the far side of the church a distinguished, new look while the channel letter sign addresses the street view.  This project was more than successful in meeting the needs of our partner, Grace Fellowship Church.
