Custom Vehicle Graphics for Sage Restoration

Posted in: Recent Projects

Recently, we were contacted by Alan and Stephanie Sage, owners of Sage Restoration, a Commercial and Residential Restoration company for fire, water, mold damage, and more. Alan and Stephanie are professionals in their industry. However, in the midst of rebranding their logo they needed to continue their professional image – with no down time – to their fleet of vehicles.

The owners were so easy to work with, making their project and the process simple.  Since they had their concept in min and the logo and colors finalized, restoring their logo and replacing vehicle graphics was a walk in the park.  We love working with customers like Sage!

Let’s start from the top! Removing any old graphics does take some time, depending on the initial application, if and what vinyl and laminates were used, how long the graphics were on the vehicle, and believe it or not, even the elements of damage can play a huge role in the removal process for vinyl graphics. Fortunately, the staff at Forerunner Signs & Graphics are sign professionals, and can decipher the different techniques needed to take in both removal and application.

We started the production process by digitally printing using our HP Latex 360; using the HP Latex 360 there is no off-gas time like necessary with solvent printers. We can produce graphics, laminate, and plot out back-to-back with no down time!

On this vehicle graphic project, we printed on 3M IJ35c Vinyl and laminated it with a Luster Lam that brings out the rich colors of Sage’s new logo and graphics. We then cut out the graphics using our Graphtec 8600 plotter; that is “spot on” everytime! We then weed and transfer-tape everything prepping the graphics to be applied.

When applying any graphics, we must have a dirt and oil free surface clean of any residues that may prohibit the curing process to the adhesive on the vinyl. We apply the graphics and it’s a wrap! Partial Wraps and Vehicle graphics are a great way to get noticed while staying within a low-budget.

We would like to thank the team at Sage Restoration for allowing us to help their business shine; and we look forward to our next project with them.
