Internally-Illuminated Channel Logo for Champions ATA Martial Arts

When we were contacted by Champions ATA Martial Arts Center in Overland Park to manufacture & install an exterior sign, we were excited to learn more about the business. Champions ATA is a wonderful dojo run by Mr. Hargis. Hargis teaches adults and children about the mixed martial arts and, more importantly, about the core values in life.  He works with his students to get them in shape mentally and physically. He makes children and adults stronger, more confident, and gives them the ability to have the “can do” attitude that everyone deserves. We were honored to take on this project.

Hargis contacted Forerunner Signs & Graphics about an exterior Internally-Illuminated Channel Logo for the front façade of his building. Since they had their logo designed, he really made it easy on us!

We started out by having a polycarbonate face in the silhouette of their logo. We then printed their logo Digitally on Translucent Vinyl and applied to the front surface of the substrate. Typically, when choosing a Channel Logo System a 1” trim cap is sufficient. However, with the hard, complex turns that the Champion logo has we did not hold any stops. We chose to go with a black 2” trim cap that can handle the curvature of the logo as well as protect the internal illumination of the channel logo.

Finally, we installed Champion’s new sign using the stud-mount through-bolt method on the front façade of the building, welcoming anyone in!  Just as they teach external defense and internal reflection at Champions ATA Martial Arts, Forerunner Signs and Graphics likes to protect our customers’ external signage and their sign’s internal components. We were very excited to be given this opportunity with Champions ATA Martial Arts.
