Property Management Education – Avoiding Rent Disputes

Posted in: Industry News

Here are three brief guidelines that may help you and your tenants have a better relationship if you choose not to hire a professional property management company.

-Clearly Spell out the rules/ terms of your lease agreement

– Be fair and consistant when enforcing all your rent rules/ terms

– If rent isn’t paid on time, follow through with the appropriate legal notices telling the tenant to pay or move. Making sure the documents are prepared and delivered correctly if of utmost importance. Failure to prepare and deliver the appropriate documents in a legal manner, will cause a delay in a court action which will end up costing more money. Seeking professional assistance will save you time and money. At ACL Property Management, we have lawyers and trained professionals ready to assist us with these matters, should it be necessary.
