Posted in: Industry News

Are you searching the East Bay area for a local printing company that can design and / or print great-looking custom brochures for your business or upcoming event?

We are a full-service custom printing company located in Oakland, California, and serve the surrounding cities including Berkeley, Emeryville, Piedmont, Alameda and San Leandro.  We specialize in all things printing, including custom printed brochures.

When it comes to brochure printing, there are a lot of different options to choose from. Let’s take a look at some of the options below.

FOLDS

When it comes to folds, the typical brochure that most people are used to is a tri-fold brochure, but you can have different types of folding options. There is a simple bi-fold option, which is also very common, but you can have more complex fold options too.

Depending on the industry, and what you are trying to sell or promote, a specific folding option may serve better than another.  Having a professional printing company to consult with can really help with the final product. If you try using an online printing portal, not only will the printing potentially not look very good, it may not even be a good layout or fold option, and end up wasting a lot of money.

GRAPHICS

As for the graphics, if you don’t have an in-house graphic designer, or somebody else who is familiar with graphic design for brochures working on your project, there’s a good chance you won’t get a great end result. We have in-house designers that can design different types of brochures with various types of layouts that will looking amazing. We consult with our customers first, and then provide mock-ups of design options for them to choose from, using their input as a guide if they have any ideas they want to be featured in the brochure.

CARD STOCK

A third option to think about when designing custom brochures is the card stock. This is the thickness of the paper that the brochures are printed on. For some applications, a thin and flexible card stock maybe the best option. For other applications, a thicker paper may be more desirable. Also, the type of finish of the card stock will give a different look. You’ve got the more typical glossy look that is standard with most basic brochure printing, but you’ve also got matte finish, satin touch and more of a paper like or papyrus type feel as finish options.

If you have any questions about custom brochure printing, give us a call. We would be more than happy to help.
