The Owners of The Pool Doctor

The owners of The Pool Doctor are Dale and Sharon Hiebing.  They bought the business in 2002 and are the third owners.  The Pool Doctor has been in existence since 1956.

Dale’s background is in the plastic industry, specifically blow molding injection.  He spent 20 years in the industry where he managed equipment two stories high, with horsepowers approaching 500.  He also worked on large water towers.  With his strong electrical and plumbing background, the transition to the pool industry was seemless.  He is an expert on pool and spa chemistry, a licensed pool and spa contractor, and has attained the highest level of education possible in the industry by becoming a Certified Service Professional, or CSP.

Sharon comes from a strong administrative and project management background, working in telecommunications industry for over 11 years.  She is a licensed California real estate agent, practicing for over four years before buying The Pool Doctor.  In addition, she runs a Send Out Cards business which is an online wholesale greeting card company and works with many business owners on improving their marketing through appreciation campaigns.  Marketing is one of her passions.

Dale and Sharon enjoy real estate investing, travelling, learning Spanish, golfing and wine tasting.  They believe strongly in empowering their employees, and as a result have a staff of seven employees, many of which have been with them for over 5 years.  Through a combination of excellent employees, territory growth and service expansion, they have become the preeminent pool and spa company in the Bay Area.

Being a family run business means each and every customer is important to them no matter the size of the job since it is their livelihood.  They are the only Diamond Certified pool and spa company in the Bay Area and are very proud of that fact.  They believe in answering the phone with a smile, returning all e-mails and voice mails in a timely manner (by the next business day), and showing up on time for appointments.
