Oakland, CA – How to display your photographs | East Bay Area Photographer

Posted in: Videos

I’m often asked by clients how they can best display their images from their Lifestyle Photography session.  Below are some ideas to help you get the most enjoyment out of your new images.

You may be thinking about booking a family photography session, or maybe you’ve already booked.  Have you thought about how you are going to display your images?  In years past your images would have been processed and printed out.  But with the advent of digital cameras, many people don’t know what to do with all of their digital images.  You could download the images to your computer, but how often do you pull out your computer to share images with family and friends?  I have memories of sitting with my mom or grandmother and flipping through the pages of the family’s photo albums.  Scrolling through the computer with your kids or grandkids on your lap just doesn’t have the same feel.  So what other options are there?

Prints/Wall Art

Images can be printed on standard photo paper or mounted on Styrene.  Mounting your prints adds durability and stability that extend the life of your images.  Prints can be framed and displayed on desks, shelves or tables throughout your home.  They can also be turned in to artwork as canvas or metal prints.  Prints are great to share with family and friends to display in their homes.

Calendars

Calendars allow you to enjoy your images for the whole year.  You can have one at home and one at the office.  These make great gifts for grandparents!

Albums

Your images can be turned in to a custom album that you can enjoy and share for years to come.  Albums come in 8×8 and 10×10.  Albums are great when you can’t decide on one or two favorite images.  They can be beautifully displayed on your coffee table or bookshelf.  Imagine flipping through the pages of your custom album with your kids or grandkids.
