Electricians Tip | What to do if your breaker trips

In the event the power is turned off because the breaker trips. Your power has been interuppted by the breaker. This is a safety feature and is a blessing because its saving your structure from a fire.
 
1. First identify location of your Panel or Subpanel.

2.Then read your description panel to identify breaker location in panel. The breaker that is different from the rest will be the one that has tripped.

3. You need to turn it off before you turn it on. A tripped breaker will be found in the neutral or middle position

4.If the breaker immediately trips again there is a serious problem and you should not to attempt to turn it right back on.

5. Most of the time the problem will be a wire is going to ground. If you attempt to troubleshoot the problem turn the power off to that portion of the house or structure.
