Electricians Tip | Going Green in your Business – Part 1

Posted in: Industry News

Going Green in the Years to Come

Many Small business in the San Francisco Bay Area have been going green recently. It is a trend which many would say is long overdue.  As our costs rise it is important to search for ways to lower our overhead. One of the ways is to reduce your electrical bill.

The first and least expensive is to change to Compact Flourescent Light Bulbs.

The second thing to do is to convert your old bulky magnetic ballasts to Energy Efficient Electronic Ballast. The new electronic ballasts with increase your lumen’s and light quality while simultaneously lowering your electric bill. Typically the old lamps and ballasts will be a T12 while the new lamps will be T8. You will notice a difference in size and light output and of course efficiency.

Rossco Electric is approved to work with energy efficiency programs called KEMA and Smart Lights. Both programs are funded by an approved agency which in turn allows for large rebates to the customer on the average of 70% of the cost.
