There had been a fire in their basement a couple of years ago and they had finally saved up enough money to remodel it. During a toilet install that they had been executing, a pipe that had been connected to the toilet simply broke into pieces and began to leak. Luckily enough, it did not take our technicians long to determine that the plumbing had become brittle and compromised from the heat of the fire that had taken place. Some piping that traveled higher up, and took some work to find, had melted and become misshapen! It would simply take some observing and finding of the plumbing that was affected to perform the replacements that would bring everything up to par for the new remodel.
We did just that, replacing pipe after pipe and fitting after fitting until the portion of the system that had been damaged was good as new. This would keep future breaks much less likely to happen, which would also highly prevent future water damage from uncontrollable burst pipes. Once everything was complete, the homeowner was ready to begin work on their remodeling project again.
