Waterford, CA – Tree Information Panel Sign for City of Waterford

A while back, the City of Waterford hired us to design an information sign for the Tuolumne River Parkway. This beautiful river trail is located just south of the city of Waterford, CA. The sign had to educate visitors on the native tree species that can be found growing beside the river, and how they can be protected. We believe our sign contributed to the local populace’s appreciation of how valuable the Tuolumne River corridor is to their city.

Check out the accompanying photo to see our final design, produced in collaboration with the City of Waterford. We opted for a two column layout, which produces an attractive, balanced look. Nine color tree illustrations are shown, each accompanied by a short piece of informative text. Visitors can identify encountered species from the images and enjoy reading about them.

For us, delivering this project for the City of Waterford was a privilege. The project benefits were clear, and the client’s employees were not only enthusiastic but pleasant to deal with. We took pride in contributing, if in some small way, to the Tuolumne River Parkway, which will be enjoyed by local people for generations to come.

Our information panel signs are made from high quality aluminum. Once we had an agreed layout, it was time to construct the sign. The graphic was digitally printed onto two sheets of tough aluminum sheeting, forming the front and back of the sign. Supporting legs were provided by two aluminum square tube posts. Setting the sign into 2,400 psi concrete blocks ensured it would be held fast without any danger of collapse.
