Comemorative Monument Sign for NHRA Funny Car Driver Eric Medlen at a City Park in Oakdale, CA

Posted in: Industry News

Eric Medlen was the son of John and Mary Medlen and was an NHRA Fuel Funny Car driver.  Eric Medlen was a great driver and an unfortunate loss to the world when his car crashed from an unlikely and one of the worst tire shakes in funny car history.  But his legacy is stronger than ever and will now live on forever.

To comemrate and celebrate his life, career and success as a great human being we were contacted to create a memorial dedication plaque for Eric Medlen.  The monument sign was placed at a city park in Oakdale, California.  (See the pictures above and below.)

We recently  also did two plaques for a very special dedication of a city park in Oakdale, CA, that was named after the NHRA driver Eric Medlen, Eric Medlen Park.

Eric Medlen was a tremendous ambassador to NHRA and to the city of Oakdale.  There is a website that you can visit for the park with information about the facilities as well as information about Mr. Medlen.  You can visit it at http://ericmedlenpark.com/.  There is also a nice video of the ceremony on this website where the park was formally named and the monument sign was unveiled.
