Waupun, Wisconsin Custom Printed Wallpaper for Silverback BJJ

When Scott Roffers, owner of Silverback BJJ,  decided that he wanted to share his natural skill and abilities in brazillian jiu-jitsu by teaching others, he faced a daunting task. When Scott came to us with a print that he purchased and the idea to blow up the print to cover an entire wall we were very interested.  The artist that created the print was open to the idea of giving us the rights to reproduce the image for the purpose of covering one single wall in Scott’s academy.  The artist even provided us with the native art file so that we had no problems enlarging the image and maintaining the quality of the print. We decided to use Avery Dennison’s 2630 textured wall film.  The material was perfect for this application because the biggest problem with putting up wallpaper is the wall! So many times the paint has a stain release component which causes stuff not to stick to it, including most wallpaper.  Because Avery uses an acrylic adhesive instead of latex, this product went up perfectly and will stay up until we take it down. The canvas texture is a perfect copy of most commercial wallpapers.  As you can see from the photo above, the colors of the print were a high contrast, black and red, and had to be maintained throughout the print.  One of the advantages of working with Optimum Signs is our color consistency. We employ multiple color management software to monitor and control the output from our printers.

The most interesting part of this project was the install.
