IMG_1915 One of the many things we enjoy is meeting new customers.  Especially when they are looking for help with a project.  Especially when the dealership is in the process of ownership changes and the sign needed to be completed before the new company was willing to take over. We were introduced to Jim Clark, the general manager of Concours Motors (now Umansky Motors) through AdChoice LED’s a manufacturer of custom and stock LED message boards out of New Hampshire.

Concours Motors has had problems with their message board for the last 6 months.  The problems ranged from loss of color, burned out LED modules, and very poor registration.  So they took to the internet to see what options they had.  They found AdChoice’s website and began to research the product.  Jim noticed something very quickly. AdChoice assembles their LED message boards in the USA where most others are assembling in Mexico, China or Canada.  He also noticed that because they can hold very tight manufacturing standards, the company can deliver a much cleaner and clearer picture using less LED modules.  The boards we put in were 19 mil LED’s,  which normally would have a viewable distance of 50 feet.  The sign is 25 feet from the center island on Silver Spring Drive and still delivers a very clear picture.

Our install began with the removal of the old boards.  These came out without incident.  The new boards were about 4″ more narrow than the old boards, so we had to fabricate and paint a custom aluminum frame that matched the existing sign.  We also left the bottom of the LED open to allow for airflow.  Once our installers finished, our electrician had to connect everything.  From daisy-chaining the data connections and connecting power, to the installation of a line-of-site antennae system for added security.

This is another example of the extensive parnter network that Optimum Signs brings to our customers.  Whether it’s an existing sign or a new one, we would love to be your signage partner. Give us a call at 262.289.9481 or email us at info@optimumsignswi.com.
