Vehicle Graphics for Trane/Ingersoll Rand in Waukesha WI

When we stopped by one of our neighbors to introduce ourselves, we were wondering what they did as there were always many service vehicles in their parking lot.  Either they were having massive technical issues or there was something else going on. And boy are we glad we stopped by.

Our neighbor, US Upfitters, has the contract with over 200 large corporate accounts to customize their service fleet. Most of their work is adding ladder racks, shelves and service cabinets. In the past when their customers asked for them to complete the customization they either passed the vehicle on to a local franchise sign shop or they did it themselves (with limited success).  The franchise sign shop tended to put them at the back of the line because this is just an install, the graphics are supplied by the corporation.  Normally this is a two hour job.  As this was our first for Trane, we took our time and made sure that we understood the design and we measured many times.  The material we used was 3M Controltac which is a good product. The challenge is that this version (V2) did not have air release which lends itself to air bubbles under the vinyl.  When Optimum Signs prints a job like this we always use vinyl with both Controltac and air release.  After we cleaned the outside of the van with alcohol, we placed the decals and cross measured from corner to corner, edge to edge. Even the reflective stripe that runs the length of the van placed and applied very cleanly.  A quick blast with the heat gun to ensure that all the edges were adhered, and we returned the vehicle to US Upfitters.
