Lobby Sign and Projection Signs in Mequon, WI for Thrivent Financial

Recently we were contacted by a local Thrivent Financial agent who was preparing to move his offices.  He had been trying to get a number of sign companies to help him design the signage but as they began to dig into this, they found that everything they did had to be approved by Thrivent’s compliance group.  Both sign companies stepped away.  That is were Optimum Signs came in.

When we were contacted the time was very short.  The offices were moving in less than 40 days and we didn’t have a design to start with.  The designers at Optimum Signs contacted the compliance manager with Thrivent and discussed exactly what she needed to see and what she would and wouldn’t approve.  Because we took the time to talk with the compliance manager, our first design was approved two days later.  We rushed the design to our production group as we were quickly running out of time.

The lobby sign was 50″ long and was a high grade acrylic that we laminated the back of with frosted glass vinyl.  The logo was produced on standard 3M IJ35C for high performance and a look that will last a very long time.  We also used 1.5″ duo tone polished standoffs to frame the logo and give the lobby sign real attention grabbing definition.

The exterior signs were a challenge as they required a construction that would stand up to the elements of a Wisconsin winter.  We manufactured a steel case that allowed us to powder coat and spray paint the exterior with a bright, white exterior grade enamel.  The logo and letters are cut vinyl and laminated with 3M 8518 optically clear laminate.  All of this to ensure that the signs look as good today as they do three years from now.
