Milwaukee, WI – Custom Wrap on Box Truck for Local Business | Commercial Signs

Look at this beauty! Hard to believe that this box truck started off as a white box with a white cab.

When we started on this truck, we had the layout of the truck and a list of corporate approved colors along with approved logos.  One thing we learned about our customer is that they love bold colors with high contrast.  Bright yellows, pinks and purples are mainstays in their color palate and they wanted to continue with the color scheme.

The color selection process was pretty straight forward.  We grabbed a shade of blue that gave us high contrast possibilities and a deep blue was the perfect color.  Our contrasting color, sky blue, was perfect for the cab and also appears at numerous spots in the logo.  The only real question for the logo was which one they wanted to us because they have about 6 different versions of the logo.  We mocked up all 6 options and as most of the times happens, the choice was very apparent. We have found over the past 7 years, when we get the right design it is very obvious.  So obvious that a few of us were taking bets on the design. We presented the 6 mock ups to the customer and they all agreed inside of about 30 seconds on the design that was picked out by our staff.  Now the customer had to get the design approved by the corporate headquarters so we could go to work.  It took about 3 weeks to get someone at HQ to sign off on the design and return it to us for production.  Here is the nice part.  Once we got the approval, we were able to print the entire job in just under a day.

We started by running a program to calibrate the color replication of our printer. We do this prior to big jobs and once a month at the beginning of the month.  The cool thing is that most times the change in color replication from one month to another is less than 1%.  But that 1% if not addressed, can become a cumulative problem.  With that being done, we added 2250ml of ink and about 600 square feet of vinyl and POOF! you have a beautiful wrap that really stands out.

If you happen to have one or a fleet of box trucks that you would like wrapped, please give us a call at 262.289.9481 or email us at info@optimumsignswi.com.  We would love to help you with your project.
