custom parcel locker wrap  When we took the call from Kansas State University, we were kind of excited as they really knew exactly what they wanted.  It’s always exciting when the customer has all the information we need to be able to design, print, and install a new project and this was exactly that.

Our customer had been planning on the installation of the parcel locker system for almost 4 months.  They cleared the area that they wanted it installed in. They ran power to the location and enhanced the lighting in the area so that the system would be very well lit.  When the day came to install the system, they had a host of people there to make sure everything went exactly as it was supposed to. It went flawlessly.  That is when they realized that a plain white parcel system wasn’t going to cut it.  One of the schools at the university prides itself in training top end graphic designers so they went to the school to ask for help.  They had three designers step up to take on the project.  This is where we come into play.  We received the call from the group about what our capabilities were relative to a parcel locker system.  As we have designed, printed and produced close to 100 system wraps, we were ready and able to assist in their project. When they heard that we had done a large number of systems like this, they were very happy.

We started with a conference call with one of our designers and their team.  We walked them through the nuances of setting up a design on a system like where to avoid placing images because of gaps, hardware placement and overall sizing.  We also created a template for them based on the exact system that they had so they could place the graphics and designs on the rendering and see exactly how it would look.  They said many times that this helped them more than anything else.

The design came to us ready to print.  Because of our experience in these types of wraps, we knew exactly the correct vinyl to print on to make sure the install went as planned.  The customer chose a gloss laminate because they liked the wet paint look of the print.  We printed, trimmed and packaged up the print and sent it to our installer in the market.  Overall, it took us about 3 days to move from design approval to shipping the print.
