Custom Wrap Trailer This was an absolute beast!  One of our long time customers decided to upgrade their fleet of tractors and trailers, along with their box trucks.  When they came to us, they were exasperated because the company that they were working with was not responsive.  Not responsive for 2 trailers, a tractor, and multiple box trucks! I would stack bodies to get to an order of this size.

Our customer had pictures of the design that they wanted to go with but no actual files so we had to recreate the art files.  We started with a physical measurement of the trailer. We also noticed that the rivet pattern was very aggressive with trays running vertically with rivets on both sides of the spline.  The trailer also had rivets running horizontally along the top and bottom of the panels. Nothing like a little extra labor. Our design group started with the colors.  We wanted to make sure that there was a very large contrast between the two main colors.  They wanted a yellow and a pink for this trailer.  We were able to find a yellow that was both bright and complimentary to the pink. The pink had to be soft and very passive.  I think we hit it perfectly.

Once we gathered the necessary measurements, we had to scale the artwork to the actual size of the trailer so we could look for anything that could impact the design.  Finally, we provided a scaled rendering to our customer for approval.  Now the fun.  This beast took over 4500 milliliters of ink to print and just over 2000 square feet of vinyl.

We decided because of the large number of rivets, we were going to use a vehicle wrap vinyl that has as one of the main characteristics of the vinyl as having an aggressive adhesive.  Because each rivet has to be heated and tucked, the adhesive was critical to a successful wrap.

When the day to wrap the trailer came, we sent four installers to handle the job.  They began working on the trailer at 830 in the morning and by 430 they were done.  They moved like a group of army ants! Everyone knew what they were doing and what everyone else had to do. It was a thing of beauty watching the team attack the trailer.  Nothing is beyond our installers abilities! Our customer was very happy with the finished product and placed an order for the rest of the fleet.

If you have one trailer or a fleet of trailers and you want custom graphics for the trailer, please give us a call at 262.289.9481 or email us at info@optimumsignswi.com.  We will get back to you in a very timely manner. We would love to help you.
