  One of the nice things about getting a new company car is that you have the opportunity to turn that car into a mobile billboard.  But how do you know what makes a good design let along an effective design.  Start by working with Optimum Signs where we will not only help you design your graphics but also make sure that the graphics you decide on are both effective and very clear so your potential customers can see you and know what it is you do and how to reach you.

We always start off with the color of the car.  This impacts the decisions we make because the graphics must be of a very high contrast against the vehicle.  What do you do if the company graphics are the same color as the vehicle? It’s called a cloud.  We put a “cloud” around the graphics to make it stand out.  The cloud doesn’t have to be white.  All that it needs to do is be of a high enough contrast to ensure the graphics are easily readable.  If there is a logo in the design, we want to make sure that the logo again adds to the understanding of what you do. If it doesn’t help clarify the message, we have recommended dropping the logo from the design. Remember, the only job of graphics on a commercial vehicle is the advertise your company’s name and deliver the message of what you do. We also recommend adding a means of contact.  That can be a phone number or a web address.  Usually we leave this to our customer to tell us how their customers currently reach them.  Do they call? Website? Both? We always try to provide a means for your customers to find you and reach you the way that they are comfortable.  Sales experts always say that you need to sell to your customers the way your customers buy.  If you match their style, your odds of closing the deal go up.  The other key to a successful wrap/graphics is the time it takes to read the message.  Most vehicle packages have between 3-7 seconds for the consumer to read the message and determine how to contact you. Any design that takes longer than that risks the customer not being able to grab the contact number.
