Milwaukee, WI – Cut Graphics for Center for Veterans on Ford Transit 150 Midtop

Posted in: Client Examples,Videos

Good Afternoon folks. Scott from Optimum Signs here. I just want to share another job we just completed with you and this one’s kind of personal and kind of close to my heart.  So we did this work for CVI, Center for Veterans Issues.  These folks truly do God’s work as they help take care of the homeless veterans and they help our veterans when they come back home.   They help our vets adjust themselves to society.  They operate Vets Place Central in downtown Milwaukee.  They feed the homeless vets, cloth them, and feed them all while helping them adjust to civilian life.  We started with the CVI logo.  Pretty important to have this as  the large feature in the back of the van.  Adding the address and then of course the tagline itself. Which is “Helping veterans help themselves since 1989”.  The folks at Vets Place  have been serving the American veterans and doing a wonderful job. As we walk around the side of the van, you are going to see this is a Ford Transit 150 mid top.  We’ve actually been seeing a great number of these lately that we’re wrapping because of the versatility of the vehicle and the fact that the vehicle is incredibly well-equipped, even at the base level model.  The van rides like a car and there’s no clunky van sounds. It doesn’t feel like you’re sitting on top of the suspension and rides extremely smooth.  With a van like this, you can put 8 full-size adults in the back of this thing and does not change the ride of the vehicle at all.

As we move over here to the passenger side you will find something here that we do now with all Transit vans that have the sliding door. if you can see here,  the designs completely intact, one hundred percent intact over the rail.  What we found is that the sliding mechanism for the door actually rides inside the track. What that means is that we can wrap the faces of the rail and not affect or in any way damage the design.  It’s something we just started doing with this being the fourth van that we’ve done it on and as of right now we’ve had zero failures.  I believe that this is going to be a long-term solution to placing graphics in and around the rail system. As you can see on this one,  the swoop in the blue the white and silver as we carry that through to the front bumper, we had to decide how do we end the design. You can’t turn around and just make up a body line or an entire panel on the grill. We carried it completely under the grill so the design was complete.

To be honest with you, I am quite proud of this project as it turned out very nice for a group of people who really do good work. So if you are sitting around wondering what you can do with some of your spare time, I’m sure the Vets Place in downtown Milwaukee would love to have additional volunteers.  If you can’t volunteer,  send a donation.  They deserve everything that we can do for them.  After all, our vets were willing to give everything for our freedoms. If you have any questions or if you’d like us to design a wrap for you or if you need your vans wrapped,  call us at Optimum Signs. Our phone number is 262-289-9481. We would love to help you.
