Menomonee Falls, WI – Custom Fleet Wrap for Capital Heating on Ford Transit 250

Hey, how’s everybody doing? Scott from Optimum Signs. I  just wanted to show you one of our latest jobs.  This little beauty here came to us as a standard Ford Transit 250. This is a very common service vehicle in the trades and this beauty was a stark white head to toe as you can possibly imagine.  So now when it leaves our shop, this is what it looks like.  This is a custom-design that the folks at Capitol Heating had a design firm and marketing firm do the design for them.  They sent it over to us and then we turned around and customized it for the vehicle.

The folks that did the design, I have to tell you something, we see a lot of design work in the course of a work week, most of them are not impressive, but this company was very impressive.  They know exactly what they were doing and all the body lines were taken into account along with all the hardware including door handles.  When they did their layout, they adjusted accordingly so that everything fell the way it was supposed to.  We  had to do minimal amounts of color adjustments.  This is what we refer to as a complete wrap as it literally goes from the chip panels all the way up over the top to the rain gutters.  It is a beautiful design.  All we had to do was alter the color in the upper right quadrant.  The light yellow,  when it came out of the printer, it came out almost white. So we had to adjust that. We had to darken up the rest of the yellows a little so that when we printed the wrap, it looked perfect. We also confirmed the contrast between the colors.

This was actually a fun one to wrap.  Something like this, I believe we got about 23 and a half hours of labor in it and you can see why. We wrapped all the way down again from the rain gutters all the way down to the front bumper including around grill.  A lot of companies try to avoid this because of the high tension in this area.  We turn around and say okay, that’s fine.  That’s what the customer wants us to do. For a wrap like this, start to finish, normally 2 and 1/2 days once we can approve artwork and sign off from the customer. With this being a new design, we also added the step of printing a 14″ x 18″ proof, on the wrap material and laminated, so our customer can see exactly what the colors will look like.  This wrap is absolutely beautiful.

This is probably one of the more impressive designs that we’ve worked with in a very long time,  so if you do happen to have a commercial fleet or even just a couple of vehicles and you are looking for design help, or looking for a professional services firm to print and install your design, give us a call at Optimum Signs.  We can be found at 262-289-9481 or emailed at info@optimumsignswi.com.
