New Jersey City, NJ – Custom Branded Wrap for NJCU Package Delivery Locker System

When New Jersey City University purchased their new parcel locker system, they didn’t think they wanted to invest in a custom wrap.  But after it was installed, they went out to our website to see what other colleges and universities have done. They also wanted to make sure it didn’t look pushy. Once the customer saw what we were capable of delivering, we were able to begin the process.

We started with the university’s logo.  You would be surprised at how many colleges are reluctant to use their logo.  We always remind them that the wrap isn’t so much for the university as it is for the students.  The atmosphere on campus affects student moral very highly. Having a branded system looks professional and very upscale. We set up three different designs for the university and as usual, they picked the fully branded design.  After they selected the design, we printed a small version of the wrap so that they could see the exact colors we were going to deliver.  When they received the print, they said that it was amazing but the print looked exactly like the proof.  I wish I had a dollar for every time I have heard that!

The next step in the process is to set up the print file. Because we use special technology that is embedded in our printer, we are able to produce an exact match with the print file.  The technology uses an optical spectrometer (not a device from Ghostbusters) to measure the colors being printed and comparing them to the print file.  As little as .05% variance in the print will cause errors to show up on the print station.

Once the print was completed, we laminate it with an overlaminate that has a “wet paint” look to it.  This protects the print and provides UV protection so the colors don’t fade.  45 minutes later the print is off the production table and being boxed up for shipment to the customer.
