Long Island, New York – Custom Branded Business Wrap for a Package Locker System for Best Buy

When we were contacted by Best Buy located in Long Island, New York, we had a good idea what they were looking for.  They had just purchased a state-of-the-art package management system and they wanted to brand it.  As we have done many of these, we knew how to proceed.

The process for us starts with the system itself.  Because we have done many of these systems, all we needed from Best Buy was the system identification numbers. These numbers gave us the exact dimensions of the system and the frame network that the system sit in.  It also gives us the door configuration and the location of each hinge.  Number of columns and the location of the control screen and we had a complete, detailed template for our customer.  Best Buy also asked us for some design ideas as they weren’t sure how far we could go with the design.  They also asked for a very generic design that focused on the deep blue color of the store.  We presented a few designs that ranged from photo quality pictures used in the background to the one that you see above.

Our customer decided on the generic proof, of course.  We then requested the exact PMS colors that they wanted us to use.  We always print a test print on the material to make sure that the color translated properly and that we are producing the correct colors.  We also use a color management program that monitors the printed color and compares it to the source file so that we are producing the same color whether we are printing one or 1,000.  Our test print showed that we were printing the correct color.  Our customer signed off on the test print and we scheduled the installation.  Because the store is open for business, we had to install the print after hours. Normally that isn’t a problem.
