One of the great benefits of owning a corporate sign company is that we get to work with a fair number of first responders.  When we got the call from the Eagle police department we were very happy.  The department had just started changing out their older squads with new SUV’s and the department wanted to update the look of the squads.

Emergency vehicles use reflective vinyl to ensure that the cars can be seen, even in the dark.  The problem with reflective vinyl is that it can “bruise” very easily during installation. This leaves dark spots that show up very clearly when light hits the reflective vinyl.  Our manufacturers have been working on this problem for some time and one of them has found an answer to this problem. Their new reflective vinyl is harder to bruise and if it does, it can be heated and the bruise “self-heals”. Pretty cool stuff.
